Dress Code
Following dress code enables instructors to better evaluate and teach students.
In addition, it teaches students respect and discipline.

General Guidelines

No jewelry (or watches), except small earrings are allowed in class.

Please wear clean dancewear and ensure hair is neatly pulled back in required class style.

Replace tights/shoes that are damaged as soon as possible.

Ballet ages 3-6
Pink ballet shoes, leotard or ballet dress, pink tights. Hair in bun or ponytail.
Ballet levels 1-4
Pink ballet shoes, leotard, pink tights, optional ballet skirt or shorts. No baggy shorts. Hair in ballet bun.
Pointe
Pointe shoes, pink tights, leotard, optional ballet skirt or shorts. Hair in ballet bun.
Contemporary
Nude contemporary half-sole shoes, leotard or fitted tee/tank, tights or fitted pants/shorts. Hair in bun or ponytail.
Hip Hop
Clean tennis shoes, workout attire. Hair pulled back.
Jazz
Black jazz shoes, leotard or fitted tee/tank, tights or fitted pants/shorts. Hair pulled back.
Tap
Black tap shoes, leotard or fitted tee/tank, tights or fitted pants/shorts. Hair pulled back.
Leaps and Turns
Nude contemporary half-soles, ballet, or jazz shoes, leotard or fitted tee/tank, tights or fitted dance pants/shorts. Hair in bun or ponytail.

*Boys attire: Black jazz pants, shorts or black tights or sweatpants. Fitted t-shirt or tank top. Appropriate shoes for style of dance.
